The Format Registy Wiki is a community discussion forum for experts who understand the issues associated with long term preservation and access to digital geospatial data. Members discuss and refine documentation of geospatial data formats in order to ensure that each format has a comprehensive and reconstructible record prior to being ingested into the NGDA Format Registry. This Wiki is an integral part of the NGDA mission and it requires participation from community members who want to preserve geospatial data for future generations.

Anyone is welcome to browse the Wiki, but if you consider yourself to have expert knowledge of geospatial data formats please be an active participant; we need and value your input to the community. Please email the administrator to request a user account.
